BAFICI: Bah-fee-see

Oh the wonders of living in a big city. Yes, we have our complaints, but there are some definite upsides to living around so much action. For example, independent film festivals!

Last week, we hit up a local mall where they were screening The Good Life, a Danish independent film about a formally rich mother and daughter living on the Portuguese coast. The documentary shows how they struggle with losing all their money and the new reality of being poor. It was sad watching these people complain about their lives (the daughter was 50-something, had no desire to work, and was constantly spending money she didn’t have) but otherwise the movie was really interesting.

This was also one of our first times going to a Buenos Aires mall. The layout was similar to any big US mall, but this one was extra special: it had a ferris wheel AND three McDonald’s (Yes, three. And one was even kosher!) It was also abnormally busy for being a workday.

Our reflection in the ceiling mirror while waiting in line!

Alexa, Maddy, and some other girls from the house went to another BAFICI screening the next day, so they will be writing a post about that soon!

P.S. We are going to Iguazu Falls this weekend!! From what we’ve heard it is going to be an unforgettable experience!
