A Taste of Pittsburgh

I think the majority of our blog posts are either food-related or at least have some mention of the goodies we ate while in Buenos Aires! Although we were spoiled with world-famous Argentine meats, Rocklets, and other Argentine delicacies, there were definitely some US foods that I missed dearly – especially the sandwiches from Primanti Bros. here in Pittsburgh!

The claim to fame for these delicious sandwiches is that they put the sides – french fries and cole slaw – on the sandwich. This was originally created so truck drivers could have their meal (sides included!) in one hand and still drive at the same time. Now, it’s a Pittsburgh tradition and a great welcome-back-to-the States meal!

Alexa, Maddy: Sorry to taunt you with pictures of Pittsburgh and Primanti’s, but you’ll be back in the ‘burgh soon enough!
