Here in the states, we have approximately 56,710,313 reality shows about finding new artistic talent. (Like I said, it’s an approximation.) What’s one more, really? I don’t even watch enough TV to know what any of them are besides American Idol. Thank goodness Tori, one of our roomies from Argentina (remember her? She was muy excited when we had our taco fiesta!), was there to direct me towards ¡Q’Viva! The Chosen, JLo’s & Marc Anthony’s search for Latin American talent.
Normally I wouldn’t take the time to watch any YouTube video over 3ish minutes because I’m “so busy” (guess I’m slipping away from #3 on my list of goals :(), but after starting Q’Viva‘s travelogue for Mexico, I couldn’t help but continue watching. I realize that the American talent-search shows have a lot of passionate people that show up, but for some reason, watching these Latin American people do what they love, as best as they can, in an effort to represent their country makes it so much more captivating. At least, in my opinion. 🙂
Of course, JLo & Marc Anthony couldn’t resist Argentina, so here’s the travelogue from their trip there! Tango dancers and parade performers (?) galore!
If I’m reading the website correctly, I think the show starts tonight! Perfect timing!
